I was able to purchase this drove early because I am subscribed to the QVC Inside Q magazine and so I have been testing these items now for a few weeks. Most of the items are new to Tarte so I'm going to give you my thoughts on them.
Let's get-go with the primer since it is the basis for makeup awarding. This one is in a wind up stick course and has the consistency of say a stick concealer. The lavander and green sections are supposed to help with color correction.
Information technology goes on pretty smoothly and has minimal coverage. It doesn't really mask my historic period spots or redness very well so I would never just habiliment this solitary. It does assistance though to give added coverage when you apply foundation over top. And it seems to aid my makeup last longer.
Now on to the foundation. This foundation comes in a jar with a twist off hat. It contains 0.68 fl oz which a good bit below the average 1 fl oz that y'all normally become with liquid foundations.
It has a circular section in the middle with mesh where the foundation actually come out. I'm not quite sure near the packaging of this i. Information technology seems every bit though it might exist very hard to become every bit out in one case it gets down to the stop.
The foundation itself is very thin and runny. I have a lot of difficulty using the included brush to apply information technology and get a good finish. The brush seems to simply drag around the foundation and requite me a sparse uneven, blotchy finish.
Afterward several attempts using the brush, I ditched information technology for my dry out Existent Techniques Phenomenon Complexion Sponge. When I use information technology with the sponge I get a dainty flawless end. This foundation gives light to medium coverage with a semi-dewy cease.
And since it's so moist and lightweight, it doesn't last me all solar day with my oily t-zone. It starts to break down on me after well-nigh v hours and starts to slip around. I definitely won't be able to utilize this in the warmer months.
I love the adorable design of the bronzer blush! It has a feather design embossed in the elevation with shades of pinks and bronzes. It gives a slightly shimmery finish only not overly shimmery. It just gives my cheeks some nice dusty mauve color with a bit of a glow.
The eyeliner is just your standard blackness air current up pencil with loads of pigmentation. It holds well on my inner rims besides.
And who could forget my favorite mascara! This has e'er been ane of my faves for lots of added length and volume.
I was really excited to come across this lip gloss which is a new addition to the LipSurgence line. The color is a sheer rapberry cherry shade with a little shimmer in information technology. It has a smooth texture and is non sticky at all.
I was really happy that it does not accept the standard minty scent simply instead smells similar vanilla. I'thou not actually addicted of how information technology accentuates my lip lines though so I would never wear information technology alone just instead on top of a lipstick.
Even though I do non like the brush for applying this particular foundation, information technology's still a dainty brush to have. Information technology is really soft and actually dense. I have been mostly using it to smoothen out the primer after I "draw" it on my face.
I was actually disappointed in the purse they included with this drove. Information technology'southward actually flimsy and is really zippo special. With all the pretty packaging they did on the rest of the drove, they could take done a pocketbook that was much more in keeping with the theme. It only sort of seems like an afterthought.
Overall this Tarte Colored Clay collection was pretty good. If you accept oily skin at all, this foundation may not piece of work best for you. For the cost of this whole TSV set, information technology's well worth a attempt. QVC has a thirty mean solar day return policy so you tin always return it if you aren't happy with it.
